Bigger & Better

If any of you out in cyber world were praying for Christian to feel better, it worked.  Thursday he started to feel better and by Friday we were seeing the Christian we know and love.  Not sure what he had, but it was not fun!

Anyway, like the title of this post suggests....we (or I should say the boys) are on to bigger and better things.  Even though they've only been crawling for a short time, they've already become bored with that and have decided to try new tricks.

Christian decided to start pulling himself up on things today....all by himself.....
"Are you watching mom?"

"Get a look at this trick!"

"And hey! I can do it over here too!"
(This new fan-dangled trick was completely un-aided by mom or dad!)

"Pretty cool, huh mom?"

And of course, Charlie couldn't be out-done by his brother.....

"Hey! This is pretty fun!"

"See Christian...I can do it too."
(Even though Mom had to help a little)

Wow, if I would have known how much fun a couple boxes of diaper wipes could be I would have left them out long ago!  These boxes entertained them for almost 1/2 hour!

Thanks for all the prayers!  These little men are growing so fast!

Sick....

I guess I was really hopeful when I thought maybe, just maybe, we'd make it out of the cold/flu season with none of us getting sick.  On Monday Christian started a fever....started out low grade, but picked up quickly throughout the day.  I checked his temp once more before he went to bed that night and it was 101.9.  So to bed he went and I kept checking him throughout the night.  He slept all night but the fever was still there.  He woke up early Tuesday morning, checked his temp again and it was 102.6.  I decided I'd be better safe than sorry and take him in to be seen by his doc.  Unfortunately when the doc saw him the first words out of her mouth was FLU.  So they did a flu test and told us to check for results around 3:00.  Well, 3:00 came and went and so did 6:00pm.  If he did have the flu they wanted to start him on Tamaflu....our pharmacy closed at 7:00 so we had to make the decision to go get the Tamaflu before the pharmacy closed in the chance his test came back positive.  Now it's 8:00pm and I check the lab results for the 1500th time that day and yes, the result were finally back.  NEGATIVE!  A relief for sure, but still a sick baby.

Now it's 7:30 this morning (Wednesday). Christian wakes up at 7:30 from sleeping all night.  I take his temp since he's still a little oven and now it's 103.  I called the nurse line and they said it's okay to wait another couple days before we bring him back, unless of course he has new symptoms or can't breath.

So prayers all around that the rest of us don't get what Christian has and also that Christian gets better soon.  These high temps make this mama very worried.

Happy Birthday Easton!

Yeah, okay.  So I'm a few days behind on this one.  It's not like we've been sitting around watching TV and eating bon bons evey day.  Easton turned 2 on January 9th and although we plan to have a birthday  party for all three boys in February we couldn't let his big day go by without a little celebration.  Easton got to choose his birthday dinner and wouldn't you believe it.....he chose pizza.  Which was great for us, made for an easy dinner.  We had Tyler's parents and grandparents over to share the pizza and fun and of course there had to be a few presents.  And what's a birthday without a little cake?  Well, in this case we had brownies.  There will be some awesome cake later.

So excited for a new pair of jeans!

A boy's gotta have a new tractor

And a budding new musician just needs his own guitar!

Easton has loved music since the day he was born....I'm not exaggerating.  He has loved playing with his dad's guitar for the past few months so we only thought it appropriate that he have his own.

Our handsome little man, we love you so incredibly much.  Happy 2nd birthday.  We are so lucky to be your parents.  You are such a happy, smart boy.  We're looking forward to see what the coming years bring for you.

Sad & Happy

We'll start with the sad news and get that out of the way.  Our nanny gave us her notice that's she's resigning.  We're sad she can't continue with us as we all really like her and she has been such a great help to us.  She'll continue to work with us for the next month but then we'll all be moving on to new things.  Tyler and I will be looking for new care for the boys.  Whether that be a new nanny or trying to find a family day care for them to go to.  Either way, we have our work cut out for us for the next month or so.  It's going to be difficult to find somewhere that will take all 3 boys.  But, like everything else....We're up for the challenge!

In other news (the happy)....Christian is officially crawling!  Did I say we have our work cut out for us?  I think that may be an understatement.  Charlie has been really trying to get his knees up underneath him this week.  I don't think he's far behind his brother.

Check this out!!

If you had your volume on you could clearly hear that Charlie was not happy being left behind by his brother!
