Oh The Places You'll Go....

.....When you have children.  Did I mention we had a lot on our "to do" list this fall?  Well, here is day 1 of a jam packed weekend of fun.  Family Fun Day #1:  Tweite's Family Farm/Pumpkin Patch!

Tweite's is a local family farm right outside of Byron that have been doing their pumpkin patch for 25 years!  I remember going there as a kid, but things have changed dramatically since then and there is so many fun things to do!  Seriously, if you aren't familiar with Tweite's you should look them up online and see everything they have, my pictures won't do them justice! We actually weren't planning on going to Tweite's this year, but a friend of mine got us free tickets for today only.  How could we pass up that sweet deal?!

So after an early lunch we packed up the boys and headed out for an afternoon of fun!

They had a huge area full of things for kids to drum on and..

Who could resist this fun slide?!

Easton wasn't too sure about going on it alone...

They had huge tubes for the kids to run through

Autumn

Seems a little bit like Autumn around here lately.  And that's okay by me because it's my favorite season.  Love the Minnesota weather these days...okay, well, usually.  But with the changing of the season and all the fun that comes with it I'm also reminded that the clothes in our closets need to be switched out for colder weather clothes.  Undoubtedly my boys have grown since last fall which means making sure there are size appropriate clothing in their drawers! And even more so, making sure everyone has winter coats, hats, boots, mittens, etc.  A daunting task for sure.  Remind me why we live in the North?

Anyway, one of the fine fall adventures we had today was at Quarry Hill Nature Center and their Fall Festival.  This was the first time we've gone to it and didn't realize it was such a big deal.  I'm pretty sure all of Rochester and the surrounding communities were there today.  It was packed.  But the weather was too nice to pass up the opportunity to be outside.

They had food, games and activities, live music, cave tours, rock climbing, canoeing, face painting and so much more!  Here is some of the fun we had today:

Having a snack while dad and Easton check out the caves

 Painting his turtle

 Rolling a candle from beeswax!

It's hard work....look at that tongue!

He's awfully proud of his candle!

 He made his own button!

And of course, cookie decorating :)

 Coloring pumpkins!

 A masterpiece for sure!

We have so many more adventures on our Fall to-do list so stay tuned!!

Feels Like Fall!!

How can it possibly be September already?!  For some reason this summer flew by.  It must have been all the fun we had!  We had a long weekend home together this Labor Day weekend and ended the weekend with a fun trip to Red Barn Learning Farm near Hayfield.  Easton's friend Claire and her dad, Chris came along too!  It was the perfect morning for it, not too hot.  And everyone had a blast!

Our little corn cobs!

Everyone loved the real tractor to sit on...

Love this one :)

As well as the little tractors!!

"Look out guys! I'm backing up!"

Haulin' some hay

Claire has a heavy load to haul!

Charlie found out that he could push the tractor backwards with his foot!!

And dad got in on the fun too!!

Easton and Claire conquered the gigantic tire mountain!

He wanted to pet the goat but the goat wasn't interested....

And didn't want food either!

Yes, Charlie wanted to touch the pigs, but decided to play in the water instead....YUCK

(Don't worry, this mom always carries hand sanitizer!!)

Just hangin' out

Easton and Claire had fun filling the trucks with sand.
