Easton's First Time Ice Skating

We've been talking about taking Easton ice skating for a couple weeks now.  Today we finally did it!  Auntie Miki was able to join us as well :)

We rented him some skates since he doesn't have his own yet

Dad laced him up for the first time

And here we go!!

He did good for his first time!

We were able to get him one of these to help a bit....

But in the end preferred to use mom and dad for help :)

right before taking this Easton said
"skating makes me tired"

A much deserved snack break

Fooling around during break time

Love this boy to the moon!

All in all I'd say it was a success!  We'll have to try again soon!

Birthday Extravaganza!!

Easton turned 3 on January 9 and Christian and Charlie will be turning 2 on February 15th.  Since the birthdays are so close together we chose to have a joint family party for all 3 of them.  We had our closest family over to our house in the afternoon of February 1 for some cake and ice cream to celebrate the lives of these 3 handsome boys!

As you can see, they are not lacking in the present department

I tried..I really tried to make a cake for the boys.  It's not hard afterall, I've done cakes many times before.  But for some reason it didn't work this time.  Good thing we have a Dairy Queen in town.  They saved the day with a yummy ice cream cake!

Easton blew out the candles since the other 2 weren't quite sure what was going on.

But they sure loved eating the cake....

and drinking punch too!

"Really, mom.....really?"

Easton loves his trains!

Boys to the bone...they love their cars and trucks

And the day was filled with lots of love from family....
Including Gma...

Nana....

Papa....

Uncle Dewey...

And Auntie Marni and Thor too!

These boys are so lucky to be surrounded by such loving and caring family!!

Minnesota Winter

Here in Minnesota it's been a frigid winter.  So cold most days that it's too cold for the boys to go out and play.  Most days this winter either the temperature, the windchill or both have been below zero.  So what have we been doing to stay busy you ask??

Well, we have lots of craft time!

On this particular day we made wax paper hearts with crayon shavings

Yes, a tearful Charlie with his finished product.....(brothers were being a bit mean)

And we hung them in the window for Valentines day!

And on this day we made homemade finger paints...

We stripped down....or I should say the boys did....

And made some homemade Valentine cards

They very much enjoyed getting messy!

And yes, they tried eating some too...

Good thing it was just cornstarch, sugar and food coloring!!

Easton's art extended to the other parts of the house as well
Good thing it's washable!!

We also keep busy by playing with Tank....

....and playing with the camera...A LOT!!

 Photo-bomb by Charlie!

So much love from my boys :)

Although we have been having fun this winter, this family is ready for Spring and warmer weather to be outside!  These boys are so cooped up.  We try to get out of the house as much as we can and have even tried going to the mall to run around or open gym at Soccer World in Rochester.  They boys also just got a family membership to the Children's Museum in Rochester as a birthday gift so we are looking forward to going there as much as we can to run around and have fun!
